Recipe Ingredients
1 pint of water
¼ cup of carrots cut into small pieces
¼ cup of green beans cut at an angle
¼ cup of broccoli flowerets
¼ cup of thinly sliced, at an angle, celery
¼ cup of snow peas (mange tout) topped &tailed
½ teaspoon of fresh root ginger (grated)
½ clove garlic (crushed)
1 to 2 tablespoons nut oil
Soy sauce
Vegetable Stir Fry Preparation and cooking
First prepare the vegetables. Now, put one pint of water
into a saucepan and bring to the boil, add the carrots and
cook for a couple of minutes.
Then drain off the water and rinse them under cold running
water. Dry carefully on paper towel. Next, heat the oil in
a wok or large frying pan and when hot add the ginger and
garlic, stir and cook for approximately half a minute.
Add the carrots, green beans and broccoli and stirring continuously
cook for about two minutes. Then add the celery and snow peas
and stirring all the time cook for a few more minutes, or
until the vegetables are cooked to your liking.
Serve straightaway, sprinkled with soy sauce.
